Impacted Customers: All on US1 Datacenter Incident Date: August 18, 2018
Incident Description At approximately 14:06 PST on 8/18/2018 Geo-Location services were impacted for customers on the SecureAuth US1 cloud datacenter. The Geo-Location service was returning null values during this period. At 11:53 8/19/2018 PST the issue was resolved, and services returned to normal.
Root Cause A database table was corrupted which impacted the services.
Corrective Actions Additional alerting is being implemented for this specific type of issue. Additional client side changes will be made to future IdP versions to handle this type of issue more gracefully.
